RIP Kurt Cobain

27 years old.
He'd turn 39 today.

I was only a little baby when Nirvana got big, but I do know how much of a great band Nirvana was. It's such a shame that Kurt Cobain committed suicide when he had such a promising future ahead of him. I can only imagine what the music industry would be like if Nirvana's legacy continued to grow.

Kids, let this be a lesson to you.
Don't let suicide get the best of you. If you feel like your life just isn't worth living, don't give up! There's much ahead of you to look forward to. Great musicians like Kurt Cobain don't deserve to have such a short-lived life. And I'm not just talking about musicians, I'm talking about everyone. If you feel suicidal, stop. Think about your life. Focus on the positive things, all those fun and happy memories. Distract yourself by reliving those happy times, close your eyes and imagine yourself back there, in that exact time and place. Or, get if all off your chest by talking to your best friend, a therapist, your parents, a family member. Write it down on paper. Turn it into a song. Do whatever it takes to RESIST the urge to take your life.

Believe me. I love my friends. I don't know what I would do without any of them. They all mean so much to me, and just the mere thought of losing one of them to a horrible incident like this brings me a great amount of sorrow and worry. I couldn't live on without them.

Don't committ suicide. It hurts more people than you'd think. Do whatever it takes to keep yourself alive.
